Bed lever fitting

Hiya. I was wondering does any OTs have any useful advice for fitting bed levers with the white straps taking into account moving and handling. Very limited videos online. One shows the woman lift the bed to put the straps on. In reality, in someone's house this would never be possible

Bed levers are tricky and I don’t think there’s a m&h technique which can avoid all that trickery - no matter who fits it. I guess if it’s a double bed it’s better to have 2 ppl but I know a lot of services don’t have that option. Due to the service I’m in now I always order and get techs to fit although have had my fair share getting down on hands and knees, lifting mattresses and banging head on bed frames.

Fitting straps under the bed - best thing to avoid lifting bed is thread them through behind each castor/leg all around the bed until they pull out the opposite side.

Or if enough room, if the patient has a stick u can tie each strap one at a time, to the stick and push it to the opp side underneath the bed to avoid lifting
