Request for research participants
Hello colleagues,
I am inviting recent occupational therapy graduates (1–3 years post-qualification) to take part in a research study exploring international perspectives on anatomy and physiology (A&P) education in occupational therapy programs, and how this supports early professional practice.
Participation involves completing a short anonymous online survey (approximately 10–15 minutes). At the end of the survey, participants may optionally volunteer for a follow-up interview; this is entirely voluntary and involves a separate consent process.
The study has received institutional ethics approval. Survey responses are anonymous, interview data are confidential, and all findings will be reported in aggregated, anonymised form.
The participant information sheet and privacy notice are included in the link below.
Here's the direct survey link: https://brookeshls.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_07Z84RqmgMFoFJY

Hi everyone,
It's great to find a group supporting ND OT's. 😀 Although not diagnosed myself, my daughter was diagnosed Autistic 2 years ago and so the journey of acknowledging my own (and the whole family's) ND traits and characteristics began!
I'm very much realising that I experience severe task paralysis when I have a lot to do and am feeling overwhelmed, so I'm slowly putting strategies in place, so as not to get to that place. I'm lucky enough to work with a few therapists who also have ND family's so we offload together quite often.
I'm looking forward to being part of a group of OT's who share similar challenges. 😀

Occupational therapists from secure inpatient services needed
Hello,
I am currently studying a master's in clinical research at Teesside university. As part of the programme, I am undertaking a qualitative research study looking into occupational therapists' experiences of vocational rehabilitation in secure inpatient services in England.
To be in this study it is required you are an HCPC registered occupational therapist with any range of experience practicing in secure inpatient mental health services within England. It is also essential to be delivering vocational rehabilitation as part of your occupational therapy practice in secure inpatient mental health.

Psychodynamic Conceptual Models and Psychoanalytic Theories in OccupationalTherapy in MentalHealth
Hello,
We are conducting an international study on the use of the psychodynamic and psychoanalytic models in occupational therapy within mentalhealth.
Led by the Reflection Group on Occupational Therapy in Mental Health (Groupe de réflexion sur l'ergothérapie en santé mentale - GRESM) and Gaelle Charlot (french OT), this research aims to explore how these approaches are understood and applied across different countries and cultural contexts.
We have reached out to all member associations of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, the members of The Occupational Therapy Hub, ant the OT on linkedin, and we are now seeking to gather additional perspectives.
If you are an occupational therapist working in mental health within the English-speaking community, your insights would be highly valuable. Please feel free to contact me to contribute to this work.
Every perspective matters in shaping a more comprehensive and global understanding.
Thanks for your post Gaelle! We see you've already posted about this research; please limit any further posts about this, to maintain space for other Members' queries. Good luck with the study!

Hello,
I am a late diagnosed Neurodiverse OT also with a very Neurospicey family. The difficulties I have faced trying to get the right support for my children and struggling to find it prompted me to start working as an OT privately with both adults, young adults and children who are/ think they are Neurodiverse.
Neurodiversity is my favourite subject and I would love to connect with people who feel the same way.
Hi Becky 👋 Thanks for your post.
I found out I was ND in my late 30's after my son was diagnosed.
I have limited experience of working directly with ND clients, but this is something I hope to gain more skills and experience in. Maybe one day I could start my own private practice.
May I ask, is there anything specific you would recommend to up skill in this area? 😊
