Hello all! I am currently doing a role emerging placement working with women who have experienced sexual violence or engage in sex work. I have only just started and would be really grateful if anyone has any knowledge of working in this area (I.E what models/frameworks to use/helpful papers or studies/anything that could be useful!) Thanks in advance!

Hi Gabriella, check out the research by Bex Twinley on the dark side of occupation. Some of her articles are On Google scholar or research gateway. I am not sure on models but would suggest looking at Trauma informed care and compassion focused therapy perspectives to working with this population. I use MOHO in a mental health recovery team and we work with a lot of people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (check out this study too) such as sexual abuse. It may be helpful to explore roles, habits and volition for occupational engagement.
Yes sure that’s fine :)
