Yes please :)
Yes . I’m working as ACP OT in west wales in community Neurorehabilitation team.
Hi @Tanya. Thank you for reaching out! As a Bristol-based OT in neuro-rehab (brain injury unit), I am interested to understand what additional responsibilities you have, or how your role remit differs, as an ACP within this specialism? Any insights much appreciated!
I posted on Twitter that I’m still confused if I’m honest about the difference between an ACP and an Advanced Practitioner (Band 7) that’s is a clinician. My title is Advanced Practitioner Spasticity Management and I’m a Band 7 and working in a non traditional role. What roles over and above/ outwith scope are required? We don’t have any AHP ACP roles in our Trust and the training/roles I’ve investigated seem to require prescribing which as OTs we can’t yet do.
The apprenticeships are varied and don’t all require you to prescribe
I’m considering doing the ACP apprenticeship, interested to know how this role would work in the community.
Yes. I’ve been an OT since 1989. I work in outpatient hand therapy.
What additional role or responsibilities do you have as an ACP?
