OT Circles Engager
Hi all
I am newly appointed band 6 OT in an acute medical team. I am also deslixsic that impacts my notes. I have started to write on word and printing my notes. I have just left a post in social services where they actively encourage the use of AI in there note taking. Has anyone else used AI to assist in the note writing and what implications are there on GDPR and confidentiality? Thanks for your help
I have used AI to proof read but not to โwrite notesโ I have read some notes and they do tend to lack that human knowledge. With regard to confidentiality I guess as long as we donโt put any identifiable information in to the AI we not breaching any rules? As we are technically sending information out to a third party?

Weโre so excited to kick off this community โ a space where LGBTQ+ occupational therapists, students, and allies can come together to connect, share, and celebrate who we are ๐๐๐.
This is a place for:
๐ Support and encouragement
๐ Sharing experiences and resources
๐ Advocating for inclusion and equity in OT
๐ Building friendships and community
Thatโs such a beautiful initiative . Creating a space where people feel supported, included, and celebrated makes a real difference. Communities like this not only strengthen professional bonds but also give us the courage to bring our full selves into our work and daily life. Excited to see how OT Pride grows.๐

OT is a career that will give you many opportunities, including helping children. Your training and studies will equip you to support clients in all age groups who experience physical and mental challenges. The training is well-rounded to give you insights in all aspects of a person's life - we claim to be the professions who embraces a holistic approach to our clients' lives. If you only want to work with children at schools without an interest in the other areas of their lives or other age groups, you might consider special needs teaching.
