Introduction and questions

Hi all I am a wheelchair therapist in Devon and I wondered what specialist seating other services are using and what the outcomes are. We are beginning to look at our whole specialist seating process shortly. Again I wondered what your specialist seating process is, so for example how long is it taking etc etc.

Thank you Jaime

Thanks for linking in with the community @Jaime Mountcastle. A locality relatively close to you (Bristol) has an established Wheelchair and Specialist Seating Service, including powered wheelchairs and buggies for children. Perhaps a call to some neighbouring OTs might shed some perspectives for your patients? Are you also considering contoured and pressure-relieving static chairs in your Devon service? And for both adults and children? We'll raise your query with fellow Members via our network shortly, to prompt shared thoughts and perspectives here.
