Newly qualified job application.

Hey all. I am currently in my final year in England and I will soon be starting to apply for my first post as a newly qualified occupational therapist. I am interested in beginning my practice in the area of mental health (not yet decided on what area specifically) and preferably within an NHS service. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what to include in my supporting information/ personal statement of my application? Thanks in advance, Becci x

Hi Becci, starting out can be abit overwhelming with the choice of specialities out there. While many hospitals offer rotational positions to gain experience of the different areas, I remember one of our lecturers suggesting creating your own 'rotation' by taking up a number of short term jobs in potential areas. While more challenging with interviews etc, it allows greater focus on your personal interests :)
