Do you mind sharing if this relates to yourself @Cheryl Goldsmith? Perhaps finding putting words on paper difficult when doing a university module, or when writing course material? Either way, it would be worth exploring the nature of potential cause(s), to help problem-solve how to overcome it. For example, it may stem from one or a few of the following...


  • Cognition - e.g. difficulty understanding the material, a perfectionistic tendency, rigidity of thought

  • Affect/physiology - e.g. unrelated anxiety, stress, exhaustion, or other life factors (such as grief or hunger)

  • Motivation/behaviour - e.g. a fear of failure or criticism, lack of enjoyment in the subject material, procrastination, interruptions, a disrupted routine
