New band 6.

Hi all

I am newly appointed band 6 OT in an acute medical team. I am also deslixsic that impacts my notes. I have started to write on word and printing my notes. I have just left a post in social services where they actively encourage the use of AI in there note taking. Has anyone else used AI to assist in the note writing and what implications are there on GDPR and confidentiality? Thanks for your help

Hello Gavin, I used ChatGPT to help me put in words my ideas during my essay and got no troubles with GDPR back in sept 2024.

How ? Because I doublechecked the informations, asked for sources and checked these too. Also, I didn't copy-paste the text but retyped it.

I don't know if it's gonna help you tho.

Pedestrian Road Safety Assessment in Community Mobility

Hi there, I work with clients with psychiatric disability, neurological and intellectual disability, so a bit of mix. Wonder if any OT's follow a particular structured process when assessing Pedestrian Road Safety ? Any checklists you can point to ? I have been receiving quite a few requests lately to assess ROAD SAFETY during community mobility. Any tips? Has anyone completed an Activity Analysis specific to just Road Safety ? Would be good to have a checklist if there is no formal assessment. AMPS doesn't have it, and I don't think PRPP does (although I'm not trained in PRPP). I have completed off-road Cognitive Functional Assessment with the client (ACLS-version 6), and I have completed a non-standardised observational on-the-road assessment - observing the client crossing the street, following road rules for pedestrians, being able to cross safely or needing verbal prompts and/or physical assistance etc etc. Many Thank to al…

Pedestrian Road Safety Assessment in Community (OT Circles on The Occupational Therapy Hub)

PRPP or Perceive, Recall, Plan, Perform assessment.

I hope everyone is well.

I work in a rural hospital inpatient unit - acute and mainly older persons rehab. i have trained in the above assessment and have applied this assessment to functional assessment when working in acute mental health. I am curious to discuss this assessments use in an inpatient physical health setting. Currently we (the health directorate for the region) use a "kitchen assessment" template - basically a template breaking the activity down into tasks and dividing them into either physical or cognitive areas.
