Hello Community! I live in Southern Oregon and am currently facilitating the development of new housing in partnership with the local school district. The housing will be affordable to median income households (and below). Also included will be universal design, on-site childcare and a multipurpose community space for residents and local service providers. I am so grateful for my background in OT that has informed every step of this project so far. I look forward to connecting with other OT practitioners who are interested in how our profession can support the ongoing and growing housing needs in our communities.

Great post @krista palmer - really interesting to hear of an accessible, 'affordable' project of this kind, with community at its heart. And yes, it sounds like a perfect OT job fit! We'll bring this to the attention of fellow Members via our networks shortly.

Those who have mentioned that you do it through a device; which device do you use?

Also to those who have selected "Any other means", which other means do you use?

Hi there @zaid latif - and welcome! Do you work as an OT promoting accessibility and/or use of adaptations in practice?

Hi all! I've worked in the community in both statutory (local council) and private organisations, assisting with major and minor adaptations to clients homes - for adult and paediatric caseloads... I wanted to signpost a few resources on the Hub, that could aid your work in this area. See below:
