A comprehensive, observational school screening tool, designed to support occupational therapists in gathering structured, holistic information about a child's functioning within the school environment. It spans key domains, including fine motor skills, handwriting, executive function, sensory processing, emotional regulation, social skills and clinical observations, alongside an evaluation of the physical environment and teacher strategies in place.
Grounded in a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach, the tool captures the perspectives of parents, teachers, the child and the therapist, ensuring that assessment reflects the full context in which the child learns and participates. Findings are used to guide clinical reasoning, prioritise areas for further formal assessment and inform targeted, evidence-based recommendations for school inclusion and support.
