About
The Brain Injury Rehabilitation series is designed to help occupational therapists and rehabilitation professionals build a deep, applied understanding of brain function, recovery and clinical practice. It spans the learning journey, from theoretical knowledge to building practical and adaptable strategies, that can be personalised for each client. It begins with foundational concepts (understanding how the brain works and what happens after injury) and builds toward advanced application in real-world environments. The series is a comprehensive collection of interconnected modules, divided into three courses; this is the first of the series. Each course integrates current research, clinical evidence and applied best practices in functional rehabilitation and strategy development, to support evidence-informed care for individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI). Learners may choose to complete individual courses, or progress through the full series, to develop a complete framework for practice. Throughout the Brain Injury Rehabilitation series, learners will find: • Video lectures and case examples, that bring concepts to life through real-world application • Interactive knowledge checks, that consolidate understanding and support reflection • Downloadable tools and clinical resources, designed for immediate use in practice • Strategy frameworks and examples, that can be modified for diverse rehabilitation settings This series supports lifelong professional growth and aims to strengthen both clinical reasoning and creativity in therapy. By combining science, strategy and real-world context, it provides a roadmap for therapists to deliver meaningful, client-centred rehabilitation.
