I am 6 years qualified and have worked in Social Care for the same LA since i qualified. During my 6 years with the LA i have worked in reablement helpnig set up the project, then moved to the social care hospital team and supported discharge from hospital writing support plans (quite social worker ish) and assisting the acute OT's with moving and handling/seating prior to discharge and following it through along with DFG's once home. I now work in the community and cover everything. Seating, bathing, moving and handling, DFGs.....the list goes on. Prior to me qualifying i worked as an OTA for 5 years and a rehab assistant for a community team for 5 years and a care assistant for too many years to meantion :0) .
