This printable PDF document breaks down the fundamental occupational therapy process of activity analysis. Structures and subcategories are adapted from the American Practice Framework.

 

Each half of this document is broken down into the following sections:

- Section 1: Activity Summary and Demands required by any Performer

- Section 2: Analysis of Performance Skills and Patterns for a Specific Performer

- Section 3: Analysis of Environments and Contexts (Specific to the occupation being performed)

 

The first half comprises a detailed example breakdown, of the activity of 'Making a cup of tea'. The second half provides a template form. This is for occupational therapists, OT assistants and student OTs to complete their own activity analysis, of any chosen occupation.
