Hi @Rebecca ,
I've collated a few responses to your question to-date, from fellow Hub Members responding across the Hub's social media networks. See below:
Kev (Facebook): NICE have some lovely guidance. Also, the BEATS charity have some good education and links from memory. Great area to work in, I spent 6 years as a support worker in this area before doing my OT training. Enjoy x
Louise (Facebook): There is a book on OT in eating disorders; I can't remember author. It is on Amazon.
Lucinda (Facebook): Good article - Treating Eating Disorders: An Occupational Therapy Approach. There is the BEAT organisation. Also there is the film on Netflix 'To the Bone' - but once you have watched it, I would follow up with reading blogs from professionals about it, as it's great insight that will help build context for you.
Taha (LinkedIn): 1) Learn an overview of the anatomy of swallowing 2) Learn the phases of swallowing 3) Learn the compensation technique for swallowing 4) Learn swallowing rehab techniques or exercises
I hope these tips are helpful to you! Jamie
